Education

· DOES YOUR CHILD/TEENAGER HAVE ACTING, SINGING OR DANCING TALENT?

· WOULD YOUR CHILD WANT TO PERFORM ON STAGE THIS SUMMER?

· WOULD YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO PERFORM IN LOCAL OR NATIONAL TALENT COMPETITIONS?

· WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR CHILDREN TO PERFORM IN STAGE PRODUCTIONS AT LITTLE OR NO COST TO YOU?

· WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHARE YOUR IDEAS ON HOW TO DEVELOP A COMMUNITY THEATER EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT MEETS THE NEEDS OF OUR YOUTH?

If you said yes to any of those questions, then New Venture Theatre (NVT) is in the process of developing a theater education program for you and our youth.

Parent Focus Meeting

A parent focus group meeting will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at Independence Park Theater (located across the street from the Department of Motor Vehicles office on Independence Blvd.), to discuss ideas and suggestions from parents and interested organizations to determine the community's interests and needs regarding a theater education program. We would like to get your input.

Although you may receive this information after the parent focus meeting, we would still like to hear from you. Just call Rosalind Reynard at (225) 937-1519, from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday - Saturday to voice your opinions.

NVT's new brochure is enclosed for your perusal. The email address is info@newventuretheatre.org. The webside is www.newventuretheatre.com and you can even get information about NVT on Facebook.

Additionally, if you have 15 or more youth interested in the Basics class, we would be willing to conduct the class at your facility, at your convenience, at no cost. We request that you announce our activities in your organization's meetings or bulletin/newsletter. We look forward to communicating with you about this new exciting opportunity for our children.

Respectfully yours,
